Cocoa, FL - Monica Denise Harris-Spires, 35 passed away October 15, 2012.

Monica resided in Cocoa, FL and had been employed with the Orange County Florida Government and as a Independent Consultant. She was a member of Orange county chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and a community activist. Monica was involved in and a member of the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life, Event Co-chair. She was a 2009 graduate of Orange County Public Schools additions Volunteer of the Year 2008. City of Orlando Human Relations Board, Past president University of Central Fla. Multicultural Alumni Chapter and Florida Association of Realtors.

Survivors include her husband, Zachary Spires; daughters, Zoe, Zarya and Symone; son, Zachary Jr., all of Cocoa, FL; mother, Pearlie Harris, Gainesville, FL; father, Calvin Harris, (Dutchess) Huntsville, Alabama; mother-in-law, Sally Spires, Cocoa, FL; sisters, Latonia Harris-Parker, Seattle WA, Amber Harris, Huntsville, AL Emirral and Nicole Gainesville, FL; brother, Lawrence of Orlando, FL; grandmother, Lillie Mae Brooks, Gainesville, FL; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Services for will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday October 20, 2012 at St. John Missionary Baptist Church 30 Fred L. Maxwell Blvd., Orlando, FL. 32805, Rev. Rolous A. Frazier, Jr. Pastor.
