Interlachen - Joyce Kathleen Pons, 82, of Interlachen, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Shands at UF in Gainesville following a short illness. A native of Cedar Key, she resided in Interlachen since 1998. Joyce worked 25 years at the University of Florida in the finance and accounting division as a property manager. She was a member of the Campville-Orange Creek United Methodist Church. Joyce enjoyed reading, crocheting and cross-word puzzles.

She was preceded in death by a son, Edward Finocchio and a sister, Billie Jo Mize.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Angela T. Riley (Allen) of Keystone Heights, Diane I. Chipman (Jim) of Ocala and Virginia J. Wilson (Danny) of Melrose, a son, Patrick D. Finocchio of Melrose, a brother, Delton E. Geiger (Arlene) of Trenton, a sister, Charlie P. Higgins of Interlachen, 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Interlachen with Pastor Nancy Case officiating. Burial will follow at PineView Cemetery in Interlachen. The family will receive friends Saturday at the funeral home from 1:00 P.M. till the time of services at 2:00 P.M.
