Loretta Margaret Carr Crawford, 79, of Gainesville, died Saturday, January 12, 2013, in the E.T. York Hospice Care Center, following a long illness.
Mrs. Crawford was born in Cedarville, Michigan on November 12, 1933 to the late Leslie and Viola Smith Carr. She married Mr. Eugene B. Crawford in 1954, and while her children were young she stayed home to take care of her home, but then began a career working in retail. Mrs. Crawford lived for most of her life in Satellite Beach, Florida, before spending time with her children in both Gainesville, and Seattle, Washington.
She is survived by one daughter, Lorrie Crawford (Danny) Lewis, of Seattle, WA; one son, Eugene B. (Wanda) Crawford, Jr., of Gainesville; two brothers, Everett Carr of Michigan and Mickey Carr, of North Carolina. Four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.
There will be no public services, and a private family interment will be held at Fountainhead Memorial Park, in Palm Bay, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606.
