Margaret Estelle Long 91, of Gainesville, Florida, a long time resident of St. Joseph, MO, passed away Friday, November 30, 2012 in Gainesville, Fl.

Margaret was born June 14, 1921 in Sioux City, IA, the sec-ond of eight children to Willard and Viola Rich of St. Joseph. She was an active member of Eastern Star, Business and Professional Women's Club, Riverside Presbyterian Church, Hyde Park Presbyterian Church and Charter member of the Chit Chat Club.
Mrs. Long worked for many years at the Mannschrecks Book Store and for General Iron and Metal. In Ohio, Margaret was a member of Savannah Presbyterian Church and served as an Elder. She was also active as a 4-H Club Instructor and Little Theater. She worked as an office manager for Blodgett Drilling and Oil. After retiring to Florida, she was active in social clubs at Brittany Estates in Gainesville, Fl. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include a son, Allen (Shari) Long, Gainesville, Fl., a daughter, Pricilla "Sunny" (Lou) Strunk, Chillicothe, OH, sister, Dorothy Nurski, St. Joseph, brother, Norman Rich, Kansas City, MO, five grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, one great grandchild and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the Rupp Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, at the Rupp Funeral Home, with Rev. Greg Smith officiating. The Interment will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials are requested to the VFW National Home for Children in Eaton Rapids, MI.
