'PATSY' (SAPP)
Patricia 'Patsy' (Sapp) Hamilton, 77, of Gainesville, FL passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2018 while in hospice care following an extended illness.
Patricia leaves her beloved husband of 59 years, Alchus Wyatte 'AW' Hamilton of Gainesville; three sons, Alan, Gregory, Barry; and one daughter, Kimberly 'Kandi' (Mark). Patricia is also survived by her sister, Suzie Eiland of Lawtey, FL. She also leaves 6 grandchildren; Al Floyd, Stacy Mejia, Lindsay Hamilton, Tyler Hamilton, Brittany Hamilton, and Matthew Nelson, and 3 great grandchildren; Jayden Hamilton, Trey Louis, and Brielle Louis.
Patricia was born on February 22, 1941, in Jacksonville, FL to Betsy (Rosier) Sapp and John Shipman Sapp. Patricia was one of several children from John and Betsy and lived in Lawtey, FL for most of her life. She attended Bradford High School in Starke, FL. Patricia married Alchus of DeFuniak Springs, FL on October 30, 1959.
Patricia was a member of the Fairbanks Baptist Church, in Fairbanks, FL where she and Alchus attended regularly.
Services will be at Fairbanks Baptist Church on Wednesday at noon, following visitation at 11:00AM. Donations are requested to be made in the form of flowers for the service and visitation and/or in the form of prepared food following the services.
