Alachua - Richard Earl Bryan, age 91 of Alachua, FL passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at the Ayers Medical Center in Trenton, FL. He was born in Fort White, FL, to Herdie Hague and Marion Bryan, the youngest of seven children. He graduated from Alachua High School, Class of 1939 and shortly afterwards enlisted in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of the 79th Infantry Division, Signal Corp, a Bronze Star recipient, serving in the European theatre. He was a rancher and a farmer who loved to work and was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Alachua. He enjoyed traveling and camping in his retirement years.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Jessie Goode "Jack" Bryan, and is survived by his daughter Jesselyn M. (Bill) Beck and his son Richard (Alice) Bryan, four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. today, Friday, February 22, 2013 at the Newnansville Cemetery in Alachua, FL.

For those who wish, donations can be made to First Baptist Church of Alachua Building Fund or Hospice of the Nature Coast.
