Gainesville - Rose Margaret Carmody, 90, went to be with the Lord Saturday, November 16, 2013. She was the daughter of Ruth Roelfson Stroop and Edward Clyde Stroop.

She is preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, RBH Stroop, Edward Stroop and Gerald Stroop and her granddaughter, Katie Privette.

She was a member of North Central Baptist Church and was active in Sunday School and Women on Mission. She had a smile that would light a dark room and a hug for EVERYONE. She enjoyed playing Canasta and singing with Sweet Adeline's, but her main hobby and love was spending time with her family.

She is survived by her sons: Donald (Chaque) Russell of Decatur, Alabama; and Doug (Lynda) Russell of Jacksonville, Florida; daughter Dee (Malcolm) Privette of Gainesville; sister, Karen Wolfe of Sarasota; 12 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at North Central Baptist Church on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 11am. Family will receive visitors one hour before the service. Family suggests contributions to the North Central Baptist Church building fund or Haven Hospice in Rose's memory.
