WITT, WILLIAM CAREY, 77.

William Carey "Wild Bill" Witt died on Dec. 25, 2012 after a battle with cancer.

Born Aug. 18, 1935 to Elery Dreffuf Witt and Mary Leta Bedenbaugh he was

educated and spent his entire life in the Alachua area he loved so well.

Wild Bill was an avid sportsman and one of the founding members of the Clayno

Hunting Club. During his long career as a truck driver he worked for Copeland Sausage, Mid-Fla., Pritchert, the Hamiltons and Bud Jerkins and Son.

He was married for 54 years to his beloved Edith Lorena Doriety. In addition to his wife he is survived. by two children: Sheila Rene and William David (AnnMarie) Witt, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and three sisters.

Services at the Hague Baptist Church, Sat. Dec, 29 at 10 A.M.
