Billy S. Faison, age 72 of Hawthorne, died May 4, 2012 at home. A native of Sellers, SC, he's a retired employee for Georgia Pacific-Hawthorne Plant, and a member of Gordon Chapel Community Church and served on the Trustee Board. He's survived by his loving and devoted wife, Minnie Williams-Faison of Hawthorne; 3 sons, Billy James Faison, College Park, GA, Tommy Lee Faison, Newman, GA, Travis L. Williams of Hawthorne; 3 daughters, Sarah E. Faison and Raven S. Mayes, both of Gainesville, FL, Mary Omega Biggs, Stedman, NC; 2 brothers, Thomas L. Faison, Goldsboro, NC and James Arnette Stevens, Roanoke Rapids, NC; a sister, Delores Evans Faison, Queens, NY; 16 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends. Funeral Services on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 2:00 p.m., at Gordon Chapel Community Church, 521 Gordon Chapel Rd, Hawthorne, FL, with the Pastor, Rev. Joseph Williams officiating. Burial will be in Gordon Chapel Cemetery. Viewing on Friday at PINKNEY-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 21400 SE Hawthorne Rd, Hawthorne, FL, 3-7 p.m. and Saturday at the church 1:30 - 2:00 p.m. No viewing after eulogy.
