Norman Ernest "R" Rowell, of Gainesville, FL passed away on Tuesday June 12, 2012 at the E T York Hospice Care Center in Gainesville. Mr. Rowell was born in Gainesville on December 29, 1937 to Eldon and Minnie Rowell and he served in the Army National Guard. He worked as a manager for the Florida Farm Bureau, TBA Division. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Virginia Ann Rowell, daughter Elizabeth Ann Rowell, son Hank Eldon (Carolyn) Rowell, grandchildren Hank Rowell, Michael Rowell, Brandon Railey, Destiny Railey, and Delilah Railey, and his great grandchildren Carley Rowell, Kayden Rowell, Collin Lowenstein, Skyla Rowell, and Mike Rowell, Jr., nieces and nephews, and his best friend Buddy.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5-7 PM. Graveside Services will be Friday June 15, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Hague Community Cemetery in Hague, FL. Milam Funeral and Cremation Services 311 S. Main Street Gainesville, FL 32601 (352) 376-5361.
