MURPHY, BARBARA K.
Barbara K. Murphy, age 67, died on June 12, 2012 after a relatively brief struggle with a rare lung disease. She was born October 11, 1944 in Houston, Texas to George Clinton and Marion Ruth Tanner Norris.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. William M. Murphy; sons, Dr. Kevin King and Mr. Matthew King; step daughters, Mrs. Jamar Kroll and Mrs. Shawn Pendergrass; sister, Diane "Bunky" Miller; brothers, Les B. Smith and George "Bubba" Norris, Jr.; 11 grandchildren and many tennis friends.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 North Main Street. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 9:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorials to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd. Gainesville, FL 32606.
