Richard Julian Hart, age 63, beloved grandfather, father, brother, and son, passed away peacefully at Haven Hospice on Wednesday, June 20, 2012. "Ricky" is preceded in death by his father, Fred Hart and his only son, Richard Julian Hart, Jr. He is survived by two children, Julia Kirsten Coeur of San Francisco, California and Dianna Katrine Dunn of Jonesville, Florida and seven grandchildren, Ian Gray Hazzard, Jesse Murphey Dunn, Simon Claude Dunn, Wyatt Richard Dunn, Oliver Keith Dunn, Erin Liberty Dunn and Julia Grace Dunn, as well as his mother, Julia Inez Nelson Hart and his four siblings, Willie Faye Hart Bush, Wanda Susanne Hart, Noyes Fred Hart, and James Arthur Hart. Ricky graduated in 1967 and was a gifted trumpet player with the Gainesville High School band. He was a master carpenter and was known for his remarkable finish work. He built in Florida, Alabama, Texas and Honduras. He also liked to fish and was a volunteer fire fighter and an EMT for the Dauphin Island Fire Department in Alabama. He loved nature and his beagle, "Girlie." He also enjoyed reading and watching birds from his front porch. He was humble, helpful, witty, intelligent and exceptionally kind. He adored his grandchildren and he is sorely missed by them, for they loved Grandpa dearly. Ricky's memorial service will be held on Monday, July 2 at 2:00pm at The Vineyard in Gainesville.
