SHIVER, GLADYS
Gladys Shiver, age 88, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Lafayette Health Care Center. Mrs. Shiver was born on August 11, 1923, to the late Henry "Clay" Jackson and the late former Lougenia Hewitt. She was a native and lifelong resident of Lafayette County. Mrs. Shiver was a homemaker and a member of the Mayo Baptist Church. She enjoyed taking care of and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton "Red" Shiver in January 2012.
She is survived by (2) sons; Louis Shiver and wife Cynthia and Steve Shiver and wife Peggy, all of Mayo, FL (2) daughters; Janice Terrell and husband Richard, of Rockwell, N.C. and Vicky Colson and husband Ted, of Mayo, FL (10) grandchildren, (16) great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at Mayo Baptist Church on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. with Bro. Bill Terrell and Bro. Kurt Shiver officiating. Interment will be held at Airline Cemetery. Family will receive friends at 9:00 A.M., 1 hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mayo Baptist Church Building Fund.
