SAPP, OLA MAE
Ola Mae Sapp, age 100, a lifelong resident of Starke, Florida passed away on August 16, 2012 at E.T. York Hospice Care Center in Gainesville, FL. She was born in Starke, FL on February 27, 1912 to the late Joel Alvarez and Sarah Sapp-Alvarez. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church and was known to have a green thumb. Ola Mae loved to watch things grow in her garden, especially her flowers. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Carl Sapp; her son, Charles Edward Sapp, 2 sisters, and 4 brothers.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving son, John B. Sapp and his wife Geri, of Starke, FL; her sister, Betty Sue Mathews, 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2012, at 3pm at Morgan Road Baptist Church with Reverend Al Paulson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the E.T. York Care Center at 4200 N W 90th. Blvd, Gainesville, Fl 32606 in Mrs. Sapp's name.
