ENGLISH, ARLENE RUTH
Arlene Ruth English, age 71 of Micanopy, passed away Monday, October 1, 2012. She was born May 20, 1941 in Newark, New Jersey to Robert S. and Katherine Thomas English. She enjoyed spending time with her family growing up in New Jersey at Lake Hopatcong. She moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1970. She attended All Saints Catholic Church in Sunrise and was a member of the Daughters of the Revolution. In 1998 she moved to Gainesville and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Arlene enjoyed painting, gardening and arts and crafts.
She is survived by her three daughters, Anne Gibbons of Gainesville, FL, Linda Pospiech of Dunnellon, FL and Karen Rudges of Gainesville, FL; two grandchildren, Andrew Gardiner (Jessica Linton) of Micanopy, FL and Meghann Rudges of Gainesville, FL and niece, Lisa O'Reilly of Ridgefield Park, NJ.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Patrick Catholic Church, 500 NE 16th Avenue, with Fr. Roland Julien as celebrant. Interment will follow in Memorial Park West. The family will receive friends Friday, October 5, 2012, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., at WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 North Main Street. The rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations to Boys Town, 975 Oklahoma Street Oviedo, FL 32765 or online at www.boystown.org.

Arlene worked with my Mom, Barbara Quinn at ARC years ago. Mom passed away 3 years ago. We also attended All Saints in Sunrise. Your family will be in our prayers during this difficult time. God Bless all of you
