Louise Snyder Crabtree age 80 of Crystal River and formally of Williston, FL passed away on October 12, 2012. She was born on January 2, 1932 in Canal Point, FL to George Washington and Carrie Bell (Thompson) Snyder.
She was a resident of Williston, FL for 62 years and Crystal River for the past 2 years. A wife, mother, beautician, and member of First Baptist Church of Williston, Louise was active in teaching, singing, visiting shut-ins and helping with meals. Louise enjoyed baking and sharing her cakes with many people she knew. She was well known for her many-layered coconut, chocolate and Italian cream cakes. Louise was also Pink Lady volunteer with the hospital and a volunteer hair stylist at the nursing home. Most of all Louise adored her family.
Louise is survived by her son Brent Crabtree (Martha); daughters Brenda Geiger (Ed), Donna Nussel (Marc), Lena Crabtree; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She has been reunited in heaven with her husband of 54 years Robert Lamar Crabtree, son Larry Crabtree, brother Cecil Snyder and her twin sister Lucile Snyder Collins.
Visitation will be on Monday, October 15, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Williston from 1:30 to 3:00 pm. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm with Reverend Dr. Dalton Burch and Reverend Jerry Cottone officiating. Interment will follow at the Orange Hill Cemetery in Williston. Family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Christian Mission Fellowship, PO Box 501020, Indianapolis, IN 46250 in support of missionaries to Scotland Tim and Ansley Crabtree or to Hospice of Citrus County of the Nature Coast, PO Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34464.
