John Louis Flowers, 84, was an U.S. Army veteran and retired from Florida Farm Bureau. He's survived by 9 children, Frances Grant (Noel), Grant, FL, Johnnie Flowers (Luvenia), Hawthorne, FL, Gary Flowers (Sarah), Hawthorne, FL, Curtis Flowers (Cherriestine), Phoenix, AZ, Byron Flowers, Tampa, FL, Cynthia Favors (Johnnie), Plant City, FL, Janet Kennedy, Jacksonville, FL, Lisa Kennedy, Starke, FL, Percy Flowers (Kimberly), Gainesville, FL; 3 siblings, Rutha Mae Brown (Frank), U.S. Virgin Islands, Charlie Fred Williams (Queen), Hawthorne, FL, Jimmy Williams, Jacksonville, FL; and a host of grands, great-grands, great-great-grands, other relatives and friends.
Gussie Mae Flowers, 80, was a housewife and member of Abilene Missionary Baptist Church, Putnam Hall, FL. She's survived by 7 sisters, Almetta Thompkins, Hawthorne, FL, Dorothy Jackson (Eugene), Ontario, CA, Elree Cuthbert, Charlene McDonald (Edward), Nora Donley (Roger), Rosa Harris (John), all of Hawthorne, FL, Jennie Lee Hayes (William), Putnam Hall, FL; 4 brothers, Leon Gordon, Roosevelt Gordon, Earl Gordon Sr. (Evelyn), Joseph Scott (Melanie), all of Hawthorne, FL; and a host of other relatives and friends.
