FREDDIE WASHINGTON, 63

Gainesville - Freddie Washington Martin, age 63, passed away peacefully at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, FL on May 3, 2014 after an extended illness. He was born in Gainesville on August 3, 1950.

Freddie will be remembered as a great father, grandfather, brother and uncle. Freddie was a life-long resident of Micanopy, FL. He proudly attended his granddaughter's soccer games and his grandson's baseball games. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing and visiting with friends and family.

He is survived by his daughter Brenda Martin (Ruben) Rios, granddaughter Dominique Rios, son David Reibsome and grandson Brett Reibsome. He leaves behind one brother, Bennie (Peggy) Martin, sisters Irene Terry, Lois Ann (Lynn) Gay, Elaine (Henry) Keene, and Norma Faye (Cleveland) Clark, and numerous nieces, great nieces, nephews, and cousins . He will also be missed by his dear friend Suzanne Barrett and his ex-wife Frances Costine.

The family will receive friends during visitation from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Graveside Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 8, 2014 at the Micanopy Historic Cemetery in Micanopy, FL. Flowers are acceptable, or donations may be made to the .
