Ina Marie Sheffield "Vernon" Fisher was born on May 15, 1924 and passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2014, @ 12.51 CST.

Born to James Dudley and Lorena Cannon Sheffield, on May 15, 1924, in Judson, (Levy County) Florida. Ina, was married to Ted Vernon, which they had two daughters of which she is survived by Beverly Cheryl (Vernon-Ripley) Hurst (Gary) and Brenda Sue (Vernon-Deen) Craft (Ed). She is survived by grandchildren James Nelus Ripley (Stephanie), Cecil Deen Craft (Candice), Katherine Victoria (Ripley) Edmonds (Richard), Tracy Craft, Christopher Craft (Emily), Eugenia Hurst Van Sickle (Alan), 8 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren with a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. In later years after the passing of her 1st husband Ted, Ina married Henry Frank Fisher, now deceased.

Ina was a native of Levy County and attended school in her younger years in Levy County and Chiefland. She worked with the Western Union in her early adult years, as a homemaker and then on to work in many restaurants in Levy and Dixie as a waitress and in her last years of working worked with the State of Florida in Trenton (Lancaster Youth Development Center) and Gainesville (Sunland Training Center now Tacachale).

She was a member of First Baptist Church Trenton, Florida.

Funeral services will be conducted July 9, 2014 (Wed.) @ 11:00am Knauff Funeral Home (Chapel) Chiefland. Rev. Brian Divada and Gary Heath with be officiating. Visitation will be July 8, 2014 (Tues) 6-8 PM Knauff Funeral Home (Chapel) Chiefland. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Knauff Funeral Home.
