Alachua - Lisa Kaye Ward-Young, 53, passed away suddenly at her home Sunday, July 6, 2014.

Lisa was born at Alachua General Hospital in Gainesville, FL on August 8, 1960. She lived in and around the Gainesville area all of her life.

She was a graduate of Eastside High School. She earned her AA degree from Santa Fe College and was currently working on her Bachelor's Degree.

Lisa was a devoted and loving Mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She never met a stranger and truly enjoyed helping others.

She loved the beach and was happiest staring through a telescope admiring the stars and planets.

She is preceded in death by her Father, Joe White Ward. She is survived by her Son, Charles "Garrett" Ward, her daughter Peyton Kaye Young, her Mother, Jackie Ward, Her Brothers, Jody Ward (Lana) of Live Oak, Fl, Chuck Ward of Alachua, her Sisters, Kim Ward-Amerson (Paul) of Bronson and Kristi Ward Linne (Carmen) of Gainesville, 10 Nieces and Nephews, 2 Great Nephews, her dear friend and ex-husband, Griff Young, as well as many loving relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Lisa's life will be held on Saturday, July 26th at 3pm at Milam Funeral Home (Chapel) of Newberry,FL.
