JOSEPH 'JODY'
Harry Joseph 'Jody' Anderson. Born January 30, 1947 in Belington, W.V. A long term resident of Gainesville, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 7, 2018 in Brunswick, GA. Son of William Everett Anderson and Martha Virginia Day. Jody was a United States Navy War Veteran, served as a Fort Lauderdale police officer, held licensure as a Licensed Florida HVAC contractor, owned and operated Alachua Heating and Cooling, retired with twenty five years of service at the John Malcom Randall VA Medical Center as the HVAC Supervisor for the Engineering Department. Attended First Baptist Church of High Springs. An outdoor enthusiast, Jody enjoyed: backpacking, camping, fishing, marksmanship, and motor cycle riding. He was warmly known for his story and joke telling panache. Survived by loving spouse in fifty years of marriage, Joella Davenport Anderson, devoted son Edward Anderson, grandchildren Joshua and Lauren Anderson, sister Mary Gaffney, brothers Thomas and Richard Anderson and numerous nieces and nephews. Please join us in a CELEBRATION OF LIFE on Saturday, January 13, 2017 at Forest Meadows Funeral Home 725 NW 23rd Ave, Gainesville, Florida 32605. Visitation 10:30am, Memorial 11:30am.
