TODD, SUZANNE

Suzanne "Susie" Todd, known for her take-charge personality, exited this life with peace and grace at home on Wednesday, October 7, 2009. From the moment she was born September 18, 1937 in Dallas, Texas, she commanded everyone's attention. She and the love of her life, Dr. Eugene Todd settled in Gainesville over 40 years ago. Together they raised two wonderful children, Nancy and Allan.

Known as the "Hostess with the Mostest" at Trinity United Methodist Church for over 25 years, she lovingly prepared food for as many as 50, 500 or 1500, all accomplished with wit, humor and served up with love.

She leaves behind her sister, Janie Autz of Dallas; cousin, Margaret Self of Dallas; daughter-in-law Pam Todd and granddaughters Abby and Hannah of Peachtree City, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene; daughter, Nancy and son, Allan. Her family sincerely appreciates the constant care provided by Comfort Keepers, Pidge Boyles and Sharon Hawkey and other dear friends.

A celebration of life will be held at Trinity UMC on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The Susie and Allan Todd UMYF Mission Fund at Trinity UMC, 4000 NW 53rd Avenue, Gainesville, FL 32653. Arrangements are under the care of MILAM FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES 311 S. Main ST, GAINESVILLE, FL 32601. 352-376-5361
