Mr. Kenneth Earl Fornshell 88, of Keystone Heights passed away at the Windsor Manor Nursing Home in Starke on Thursday, September 22, 2011. Mr. Fornshell was born on November 24, 1922 in Lawrence County, Illinois to the late Arthur and Daisy Fornshell and had served in the United States Army. He has been a resident of Keystone Heights for the past 19 years moving here from Evansville, Indiana where he retired as a car inspector for the CSX Railroad.
Mr. Fornshell is survived by his wife of 73 years, Mildred Fornshell; daughters, Brenda Rainey and Barbara Lynn, and one son, Jack Fornshell. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Danny Huckobey, Tony Fornshell, Cindy Kirves, Troy Fornshell, Nikole Hornsby, Jennifer Lazzaro; great grandchildren, Chris Kirves, Zachary Kirves, Tyler Kirves, Travis Fornshell, Toby Fornshell, Amber Kurtzo, Ty Hornsby, and Morgan Fornshell. He also leaves behind one great-great-grandchild, Kei-Nathaniel.
Funeral services for Mr. Fornshell will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in the Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jason Nettles officiating. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Keystone Heights Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that contributions please be made to Haven Hospice, 6400 St. Johns Ave., Palatka, FL 32177.
