CALVIN THOMAS

Age 23, Employee of All My Sons Moving Storage, 2007 Graduate of Eastside High School who currently attended Santa Fe College, left this earthly scene on Wednesday, April 25, 2012.

Calvin was President of BOLD (Brave Overt Leader of Distinction) Organization. His leadership was instrumental in establishing the organization. A few of his responsibilities were to assist in making sure that 32 young men found employment, became drug free, and he helped young men between the Ages of 17-24 enroll in school. As the great leader he was, he always put his fellow brother before himself. He was the best example of "I am my Brother's Keeper". Calvin participated in many community service events - from neighborhood cleanups, Martin Luther King Week, SISTUHS Inc., mentoring the youth at Reichert House Youth Academy, volunteering with the Black on Black Crime Task Force and had speaking engagements with countless community and public committees. Calvin spoke on behalf of the youth and young adults in the City of Gainesville. Of all, Calvin holds the best title known to man..."Friend".
