Persephone Eurydice Athene, 27, died as a result of a car accident on May 15, in Gainesville. She was born Tiffany Nicole Boweter on September 6, 1984 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Michael John Boweter and Laura Ann Rose. In 1987, her family moved to Corvallis, Oregon and she grew up there. She loved animals and worked at the Albany Animal Hotel for 3 years. In 2007, she moved to Gainesville, Florida. She lived with partner Leif Wisdahl and worked for Alachua County Animal Services.

She is survived by her mother Laura Ann Rose, sisters, Shelly Boweter-Walker, Angela Boweter, & Daphne Boweter of Oregon and partner, Leif Wisdahl of Gainesville. She was preceded in death by her father, Michael J. Boweter, in 1989.

A memorial service will be held May 25, in Corvallis, Oregon. The Alachua County Animal Services is naming their feral room 'Persephone's Room' in her honor.
