Lillian Lenora Littlejohn, age 51 of Hawthorne, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012 in E.T. York Care Center. She was born May 14, 1961 in Marion County, Florida to Levi L. and Ella Mae Stewart Littlejohn. Lillian was a graduate of Eastside High School. She worked for many years as a cashier at Publix where she greeted many people with a smile that even Scrooge himself could not ignore. She loved her job, friends and family and would find any excuse to have a get together so that everyone could be together talking and laughing. Many of her nieces called her "The Gainesville Sun" because if you wanted to know what was happening, she could tell you. She enjoyed cooking, camping and scary movies. Lillian was happiest when she was the one telling the story with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Christina Ingersoll of Bradenton, FL; son, Mark Anthony Mott-Littlejohn of Hawthorne, FL; longtime partner, friend and companion, Mark Mott of Hawthorne, FL; sisters, Lavon (Cress) Dampier of Jasper, GA, Linda Crumpton of Gainesville, FL and Loretta (Paul) Dampier of Hawthorne, FL and granddaughter, Anastasia Harris of Bradenton, FL. She was preceded in death by sister, Lisa Lynne Miller Littlejohn.
Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, November 16, 2012 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 North Main Street, with Rev. Van Elmore officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park East, 3700 SE Hawthorne Road. The family will receive friends Thursday, November 15, 2012, 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
