Gainesville - Deloris Juanita Pace Buie, 87, resident of Gainesville, died Tuesday, January 15, 2013, in the North Florida Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Buie was born September 6, 1925 in McPherson, Kansas to the late Clarence Albert and Nancy Ann Hare McMahon. She moved to Florida at a young age, and lived here the rest of her life. She worked for many years in the cafeterias at J.J. Finley, Howard Bishop and Citra Schools. During this time she also cared of children in her home, who lovingly referred to her as Nana Buie. Mrs. Buie also enjoyed sewing, making many of her children's clothes, and then making doll clothes. She enjoyed collecting bells, and was a member of Countryside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Lance W. Beckham.

She is survived by her 3 daughters, Barbara (Jim) DeBarr, Jean Pace and Nancy Pace, all of Gainesville; two sons, William "Bud" (Yvonne) Pace, of Bronson, and Keith Pace, of Gainesville; ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren also survive.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted Sunday, January 20, 2013, at 2:00P.M., in Countryside Cemetery, with Rev. Bill Keith, officiating. Memorial donations should be made to the Countryside Baptist Church Building Fund, 10926 NW 39th Avenue, Gainesville, FL 32606, or to the Humane Society of Alachua County, 4205 NW 6th Street, Gainesville, FL 32609.
