Gainesville - Barbara McClellan Sohl, 77, of Gainesville passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at ET York Hospice Care Center in Gainesville, FL, with her family by her side. She was born in Secaucus, NJ, and moved to Keystone Heights, FL in 1947. Barbara and husband enjoyed extensive travel and maintained for years a second home in Chicago.
Survivors include her daughters Debbie McClellan of Gainesville, Mary Hunnicutt (Ronnie) of Gainesville, Judy Hellstrom-Fox (Bryan) of Conover, NC; daughter-in-law Suzi McClellan of Gainesville; five grandchildren Jonathan (Jenna) Hunnicutt, Jared Hunnicutt, Travis (Tunga) Hellstrom, Leighanna (Chess) Hellstrom-Hoyle, and Elias Hellstrom; two great grandchildren Madison and Mackenzie Hunnicutt, and her brother Arthur (Charlotte) Ruscher of Bradenton, FL.
Barbara was predeceased by husbands John F. Sohl and Leslie R. McClellan, Jr., companion Vernon Mize, Sr., and son Randy McClellan, III.
