Gainesville - Simon D. Boyette II passed away from this life into eternity with his Savior Jesus Christ on February 6, 2013 at his residence in Gainesville, FL. Simon was 44 years old and graduated in 1986 from Santa Fe High School, Alachua, FL and studied at Santa Fe College in Gainesville, FL.

Simon was deeply loved by his mother, Rebecca Gillman Ray, "Becky", of High Springs, FL as well as a caring father, Ron Ray. He had one sister, Danyel Boyette Humphrey and a brother-in-law, Rev. David Humphrey, both of Humble, TX, and two brothers Trevyr Ray & Michele of Gainesville and Tyler Ray of Austin, TX. He loved his three precious nieces and one nephew Kaweny, Javre, Tanna and Jady.

Simon was the son of the late Simon D. Boyette of Bell, FL and the grandson of the late Otto and Idell Gillman of Alachua, FL and the late Kyle Boyette and J.W. and Lois Roberts of Bell, FL.

Simon was a compassionate and caring man who had a large extended family as well as countless friends who loved him.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, February 10 at 3 pm at Forest Grove Baptist Church, 22575 NW 94th Ave Alachua, FL 32615. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Forest Grove Baptist Church or Forest Grove Christian Academy.
