Lawrenceville, GA - Martha Jane Weiler Lockhart, 90, a long time resident of Delmar Gardens in Lawrenceville, Georgia, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013.

Martha Jane is survived by her children, Janice Lockhart Calkins and husband Richard Jr. of Lilburn, Georgia; Frazer Robert Lockhart and wife Betsy of Evergreen, Colorado; her grandchildren, Richard D. "Trey" Calkins, III of Atlanta, Georgia, Frazer K. Lockhart and Kathleen C. Lockhart of Denver, Colorado; and her sister, Pauline Waters of Santa Rosa, Florida.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Martha Jane was the daughter of Paul C. Weiler and Virginia Stiller Weiler. She was the eldest of 3 children, Barbara Milkovich (deceased) and Pauline Waters of Santa Rosa, Fla. Martha Jane grew up in Garfield Heights, Ohio, where she met and married her high school sweetheart, Frazer W. Lockhart (deceased, 2005). They were married for 60 years. In the early years of marriage, Martha Jane was trained at Dyke Business College and worked as a secretary for 8 years, until the birth of her first child. Once her children were born, she became a full-time mother, wife, and homemaker. Martha Jane was devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren as well as her other family members and friends. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Garfield Heights, then Bedford,, Ohio and later the Presbyterian Church in Gainesville, Florida. An avid quilter and crafter, Martha Jane was active in community service including, PTA membership and leadership, and Girl Scout leadership at the local and state levels. Martha Jane and Frazer also enjoyed many years of sailing @ Pymatuning Yacht Club, Ohio. This was the fulfillment of a lifelong dream of Frazer's. Martha Jane was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution 1987-2013.

A Memorial Service Honoring the Life of Martha Jane Lockhart will be held Sunday, March 24 at 4:00pm at Delmar Gardens, 3100 Club Drive, Lawrenceville, GA. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Tamassee School DAR, Tamassee, SC,, 864.944.1390, in memory of Martha Jane Lockhart. Condolences may be viewed or sent Tom M.
