JACKSON, R. A., 82

Mayao - R.A. Jackson, 82, left this life to begin eternity with his Lord on March 21, 2013.

R. A. was born July 1, 1930 in Mayo, to the late John and Mamie (Jones) Jackson. Mr. Jackson served his county as a member of the United States Army and was a faithful charter member of First Assembly of God in Mayo. RA and his wife Mildred established Alton Dairy in 1950. With much work, dedication and blessings of the Lord, they were able to realize their dreams of a happy, prosperous life. But the thing that gave RA the most satisfaction was the knowledge that all of his family was saved and serving the Lord.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mildred H. Jackson, of Mayo, FL., their three children, Rita, Kevin, and Lindsey, as well as eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services were held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Mayo First Assembly of God with Brother David Knight and Brother Kenny Sullivan officiating. Interment followed in Alton Church of God cemetery in Mayo.

The family received friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Mayo First Assembly of God.
