ELLERBE, WILLIE CARLOS Alachua - Willie Carlos Ellerbe, 48, of Alachua, Florida died Thursday, March 22, 2007 at North Florida Regional Medical Center following a short illness. He was a 1977 graduate of Gainesville High School. He was also a graduate of Santa Fe Community College, Tampa Technical Institute, and Theological University of America. He was a member of Christian Brothers Benevolence Organization. Mr. Ellerbe served as pastor of Greater Heights Church of Christ, Gainesville, FL, Alachua Church of Christ, Alachua, FL and Westside Church of Christ, Chiefland, FL. He is survived by his wife Anterria Ellerbe, Alachua, FL; two sons, Lance C. Ellerbe, Tampa, FL, Tyler I. Ellerbe, Alachua, FL; one daughter, Carlee L. Ellerbe, Alachua, FL; mother, Dorothy Ellerbe, Gainesville, FL; one brother, Keith Ellerbe, Concord, NC; two sisters, Jeanine Carson, Brunswick, GA, Faye McReynolds Sapp, Gainesville, FL; paternal grandmother, Maizie Jenkins, Gainesville, FL. Funeral services for Mr. Ellerbe will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2007 at 11:00 AM, Campus Church of Christ, 2720 SW 2nd Ave., Gainesville, FL, Bro. Wesley Leonard, Orlando, FL, officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Meadows East Memorial Park, Gainesville, FL under the care of Chestnut Funeral Home, 18 NW 8th Ave., Gainesville, FL. Mr. Ellerbe will repose in the Chestnut Chapel on Friday from 2:00-8:00 PM and on Saturday in the Campus Church of Christ at 10:00 AM. There will be no viewing after the eulogy. Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM at Campus Church of Christ on Friday. The cortege will form at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ellerbe, 11022 NW 60th Terr., Alachua, FL at 9:30 AM.
