Wade, Alonzo Judge - Alto  
Alonzo Judge Wade, age 87, of Alto, Ga. passed away on Friday, March 20, 2015, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Wade was born on May 26, 1927, in Banks County, Ga., to the late George Washington Wade and Bessie Davidson Wade. He was of the Christian faith. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in World War II. He was a retired owner and operator of Alonzo Wade Used Cars and Auto Parts with 60 years of service. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son, Ernie Wade; brother, Norman Wade; and grandson, Darrin Keith Ramey. Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years, Jimmie Baugh Wade, of Alto; daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Willie Nix, of Carnesville; Robin and Jimmy Smith, of Demorest; son, Johnny Ray Wade, of Alto; son and daughter-in-law, Walter and Debbie Wade, of Alto; grandchildren, Jamie and Dawn Nix, Joey Nix, Angel Jordan, Jalene Smith, Shelia Ramey; great-grandchildren, Warren and Sarah Nix, Bryan and Shelby Nix, Nicole Thomas, Shawn Ramey, Travis Ramey, Emma Jordan, Shauna Ayers, and Destiny Ayers. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Funeral services are scheduled for 3 p.m., Sunday, March 22, 2015, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin with the Rev. Terry Benfield and the Rev. Scott Ledbetter officiating. Interment will follow in Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Roy Lee Mitchell officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2015, at the funeral home. Flowers are accepted or special memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice. Whiting, T. Leroy - Flowery Branch  
Mr. T. Leroy Whiting, 87, of Flowery Branch died Sunday, March 22, 2015, at his residence. A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mr. Whiting was the son of the late E. Parks and Jean Evans Whiting. Mr. Whiting was retired from Country Charm Egg Distributors where he worked as an accountant for a number of years. He was a member, deacon and Sunday school teacher at Flat Creek Baptist Church. A veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Whiting was a 2nd class petty officer in the United States Navy. A graduate of Gainesville High School class of 1947 and was also a graduate of Piedmont College in 1951, Mr. Whiting is a member of the Industrial League Baseball Hall of Fame where he played baseball with New Holland. Survivors include his wife, Jean McKinzey Whiting, Flowery Branch; daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Mike Wofford, Gainesville; Gale and Garry English, Flowery Branch; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Cathy Whiting, Pendergrass; grandchildren, Andrew English, David English, Daniel English, Lilly Wofford, Ashton Whiting, Jesse Whiting and Eli Whiting; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Roberta and James Scroggs, Oakwood, Mary Sue and Neil Whitmire, Gainesville. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at the Flat Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Mike Taylor will officiate. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home, Tuesday, March 24, 2015, from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to Flat Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 5504 Flat Creek Road, Gainesville, GA 30504, in memory of Mr. Whiting. Wiley, Alton Hamp - Gainesville  
Alton Hamp Wiley, 73, of Gainesville passed away on Friday, March 20, 2015, at Oaks of Limestone following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with internment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Darin Cain will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 23, 2015, from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Wiley was born on March 19, 1942, in Norfolk, Va., to the late Tom Hamp and Hattie Mae Hamilton Wiley. He served in the United States Air Force. He was a truck driver for City Plumbing and Electric and was a member of Dewberry Baptist Church No. 2. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Wilburn Kinzey. Mr. Wiley is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Elizabeth Wiley of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Dana and Paul House of Gainesville; grandson, Blanton Jimerson of Gainesville; sister, Jeanette Kinzey of Clermont; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joan and Ronald Gilleland of Dawsonville, Marilyn and Bert Smiley of Dahlonega; several nieces and nephews; aunt and uncle, Ruby and Rudolph Baker of Oakwood; uncle and aunt, Leonard Wiley Jr., and Joan of Clermont. Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA 30504 is in charge of arrangements.
