Elmer P. Peck

Elmer P. Peck, age 86, of Gainesville passed away on July 3, 2014, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, July 6, 2014, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Memorial Park with internment to follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Stacy Phillips and the Rev. Billy Emmett will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 5, 2014, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Peck was born on June 3, 1928, in Gainesville, Ga., to the late David Paul Peck and Bessie Elizabeth Bowen Peck. He was retired from Con-Agra and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Elmer was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Annie Laura Dale Peck; his sister, Eva Peck; and two of his brothers, Norman Peck and Donald Peck.

Mr. Peck is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Allen Turner of Gainesville; daughter, Kathy Peck of Gainesville; granddaughter and husband, Lori and Chad Cobb of Gainesville; granddaughter, Amanda Turner of Gainesville; great-grandchildren, Emily Cobb of Gainesville, Haley Cobb of Gainesville and Camron Cobb of Hartwell, Ga.; sister and brother-in-law, Leeoma Evans of Blairsville; sister, Bertha Sanford of Dahlonega; brothers and sisters-in-law, John Henry Peck of Flowery Branch and Roger and Linda Peck of Athens; brother, Harold Peck of Dahlonega; and a number of nieces and nephews.
