James Barry Marlow, 53, of Gainesville, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Embracing Hospice, following a extended illness.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at 4 p.m., at Temple Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ronnie Shiflett, the Rev. Junior Jones, the Rev. James Ransom, the Rev. Zack Watson officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4-9 p.m. Sunday and all day Monday.
Mr. Marlow was born February 23, 1961, in Gainesville to Ralph C. and Carolyn Stephens Marlow. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Marlow was preceded in death by his father; maternal and paternal grandparents; a very special great-grandfather, James Warren Stephens; and a very special great aunt, Alma Stephens.
Mr. Marlow is survived by his mother, Carolyn Marlow of Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and James Summersett of Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law, Ricky and Lisa Marlow of Gainesville; special nephew and wife, Shane and Brandi Grindle of Gainesville; special niece, Ashley Marlow of Gainesville; aunts, Rena Marlow, Beverly Millwood, Marie Smith and Irene Adams all of Gainesville.
