Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Rebecca Ann Loggins Metcalf, 66, beloved wife of Lamar Metcalf of Gainesville, Ga., who passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013.
A native and lifelong resident of Gainesville/Hall County, Mrs. Metcalf was a daughter of the late Samuel C. and Hattie Jarrett Loggins. Mrs. Metcalf was a retired home health care nurse serving many families in the surrounding area. Mrs. Metcalf was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Lamar Metcalf, Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Andy Clark, Murrayville, Ga.; son and daughter-in-law, Samuel and Kristie Metcalf, Gainesville, Ga.; sister, Nancy Loggins, Gainesville, Ga.; grandchildren, Jarrett Clark; Hannah Clark; Taylor Metcalf; and Chase Metcalf; and a number of other relatives.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at Yellow Creek Baptist Church in Murrayville, Ga., from 4-7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to United Hospice, 700 S. Enota Drive NE, #202, Gainesville, GA 30501.
