Violet Farmer

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Miss Violet Farmer, age 81, of Cleveland. Miss Farmer passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, from Union Grove Congregational Holiness Church with the Rev. Paul Flynn, the Rev. Clarence Reynolds and Jimmy Abernathy officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Miss Farmer was born in Banks County on June 27, 1931, to the late Grady Farmer and Ruth Jones Farmer. She was a homemaker and former member of Union Grove Congregational Holiness Church.

Survivors include her sister, Wilma Farmer, Cleveland; sister and brother-in-law, Louise and James Edge of Flowery Branch; brother and sister-in-law, Vernon and Helen Farmer, Cleveland; her dearest and best friend, Joyce Henderson; nieces and nephews, Rita Farmer, Donna and Donnie Loggins, Peggy and Jimmy Abernathy, Joletta and Gary Zabon, Ricky Farmer, Billy and Martha Edge.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 6-8 p.m.
