Louie Frank Ayers Obituary
Louie Frank Ayers of Overland Park, Kan., passed away Jan. 9, 2014. Louie was born March 3, 1934, in Carnesville, Ga., the son of Sanford Marion Ayers and Sara White Ayers.

He was a graduate of Franklin County High School, Carnesville, class of 1952 and North Georgia College, class of 1956. Upon graduation, he was commissioned as second lieutenant, U.S. Army, served two years' active duty and six years' Reserve. He was discharged captain, U.S. Army. He married Patricia Richards Sept. 16, 1961. Louie was employed by The Pillsbury Co. and later, ConAgra Foods, where he served in various management positions until his retirement 34 years later. Upon retirement, he and Patsy served in several developing countries as a representative of International Executive Service Corps (IESC).

He was active in the United Methodist Church, serving in several volunteer positions including administrative board, finance, and the Alpha Course at Church of the Resurrection. He was a Rotarian and a supporter of the Boy Scouts of America. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Patricia Richards Ayers; daughter, Allyson (Marcus) Clark, West Monroe, La.; son, Louie Frank (Marla) Ayers II, Cullman, Ala.; and Richard Parker Ayers, Frederick, Md.; six grandchildren: Nicole and Cooper Clark; Madison, Logan, Louie III and Clancy Ayers; sister, Jane Fisher, Seneca, S.C.; and in-laws Jim Richards, Marion E. Richards, and Jack and Eileen Richards.

Memorial services will be held Jan. 25, 2014, at 2 p.m., United Methodist Church of the Resurrection, Wesley Chapel, 13720 Roe Blvd., Leawood, KS 66224. Visitation will follow at the church.
