Reginald Elliott Dunn Jr., 73, of Dade City, Fla., passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, Sept. 30, 2013. |
Born Feb. 4, 1940, in Atlanta, Elliott was the son of Reginald "Buddy" Dunn and Sarah (Reid) Dunn.
He grew up in Gainesville, Ga., and graduated from Emory University and the University of Georgia Law School.
Elliott practiced law in Gainesville, where he also served as a municipal judge, and later practiced law in Tampa and Dade City. In Tampa, he was with the Dixon and Brown firm and later served in the Hillsborough County Attorney's Office, where he was the acting county attorney. In Dade City, he was a partner in the McClain, Alfonso, Meeker and Dunn law firm.
Elliott was married to the former Sue Warren of Tampa for more than 45 years until her death in 2010. Together, they had two sons, Reginald Elliott Dunn III of Nashville, Tenn., and Dr. Warren Reid Dunn of Madison, Wis.
Elliott is survived by his two sons; three grandchildren, Hunter, Sarah, and Mae Mae; and one brother, William Dunn of Stillwater, Okla.
