William D. “Bill” Shubert Obituary
William Daniel "Bill" Shubert, 76, entered into rest on Friday, July 26, 2013.

Mr. Shubert was born on July 31, 1936, in Homer, Ga., to the late Jess and Dolly Smith Shubert. He was of the Baptist faith. Bill retired from the City of Warner Robins after dedicating many years of service to his community as a firefighter. Bill enjoyed working in his yard, tending to fowl and his Kubota tractor. He will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

His memory will forever be treasured by his children, Billie Ann Peavy (Terry) and Kathy Nell Shubert, all of Kathleen, Ga.; siblings, Annie Hastings, Royston, Ga., Jake Shubert (Shirley), Gainesville, Ga., Louise Sheridan and Joyce Shubert, both of Lula, Ga., and Mary E. Orgeran, Crossville, Tenn.; special friend and companion, Annie Bell, Americus, Ga.; granddaughter, Hunter J. Peavy, Kathleen, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at noon on Monday, July 29, 2013, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Toms and the Rev. David Fisher officiating. The family will greet visitors one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at 1 p.m. in Silver Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery in Homer, Ga., with the Rev. Perry Smith officiating.
