Florence Patricia Turk Hand Tumlin, age 69, of Clermont passed away on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at Dogwood Forest Assisted Living following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Alta Vista Cemetery. The Rev. John Kinsey and the Rev. Jeff Murdock will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Tumlin was born Oct. 6, 1943, in Gainesville to the late Hammond Johnson Turk and Ruth Lucille Crowe Turk. She was retired from Northeast Georgia Medical Center as a registered nurse and was a member of Blackshear Place Baptist Church, where she was formerly a church pianist. Florence was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, Billy Rex Hand.
Mrs. Tumlin is survived by her husband, Rickey E. Tumlin of Clermont; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Dawn Hand of Seguin, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Renee (Hand) and Brad Morris of Maysville; grandchildren, Scott, Steven and Katie Hand of Seguin, Texas, and Texys, Bradford and William Morris of Maysville; brother and sister-in-law, Lamar and Lisa Turk of Jefferson; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lee and Paula Kidd of Gainesville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ronald and Irene Tumlin of Gainesville; nephews, Jackson Culpepper of Jefferson, Kevin Tumlin of Gainesville and Lewis Tumlin of Gainesville; nieces, Kristy Tumlin of Gainesville, Katrena Peck of Gainesville and Tara Aulet of Cumming; great-niece, Miranda Tumlin of Gainesville; special friends, Frank and Anna Lathrop of Alabama; and numerous relatives consisting of the Crowe, Turk, Tumlin and Hand families.
