Mr. John Travis "John T." Chandler, 68, of Gainesville, Ga., passed away on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, following a brief illness.

A lifetime resident of Hall County, he was the son of the late John A and Bessie Miller Chandler. He was a machinist with Reliance/Rockwell Automation. He was a member of Springway Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters, Jeanette Cain, Doris Chandler; and brothers, Douglas Chandler and Marvin Chandler.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Linda Chandler, Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Edward Everette, Gainesville; son, John Robert "Robbie" Chandler, Gainesville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lawrence and Sharon Chandler, Gainesville; Harold and Delores Chandler, Flowery Branch; sister, Mildred Chandler, Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Runette Chandler, Gainesville; grandson, Christopher Garbutt, Gainesville; granddaughters, Jessica Chandler, Gainesville; Kayla Garbutt, Gainesville; Jennifer Jordan, Gainesville; great-grandson, Kasey Jordan, Gainesville; great-granddaughter, Joanna Sargent, Gainesville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at Springway Baptist Church. The Rev. Johnny Stone and the Rev. Robert Whitehead will officiate. Interment will follow in Springway Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Little & Davenport Funeral Home on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m.
