Johnny Wilbanks, age 67, of Lula passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born on Dec. 6, 1945, he was a son of the late Ellene Loudermilk Perry and Roy Winslow Wilbanks. Mr. Wilbanks was retired as a weaver from TenCate Nicolon. He enjoyed dirt track racing, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of Belton Baptist Church and was a licensed Baptist minister.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilbanks was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Carl Perry; a brother, Winston Wilbanks.
Survivors include wife of 46 years, Juanita Davidson Wilbanks, Lula; son, Mark Wilbanks, Gainesville; grandchildren, Macy and Megan Wilbanks, both of Lula; brothers, Roy Lee Wilbanks (Leigh), Greenwood, S.C.; Bobby Ray Wilbanks, Mount Airy; Ralph Wilbanks (Effie), Mount Airy; Homer Wilbanks, Alto; and Travis Perry (Barbara), Mount Airy; sisters-in-law, Catherine Wilbanks, Gastonia, N.C.; and Elise Wade, Lula; brother-in-law, Jack Davidson (Betty), Lula.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2013, at Belton Baptist Church with the Rev. Leon Miller and the Rev. Phillip Gillespie officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery with the Rev. Anthony Cook officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. on Thursday.
