Judy Cook Ivey, age 64, of Pendergrass, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Hopewell Baptist Church with interment to follow in Belmont Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Bill Compton and the Rev. Lowell Whitmire will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Ivey was born Feb. 8, 1950, in Huntsville, Ala., to the late Benjamin Cook and Mary Ertzberger Cook. She was retired from Renaissance Hotel and was of the Baptist faith. Judy was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Muriel Kellogg; and her brother, Jimmy Cook.
Mrs. Ivey is survived by her husband of 44 years, Darrell Broadus Ivey of Pendergrass; her daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly and Greg Barton of Gainesville, and Lori and Gabriel Watson of Blairsville, Ga.; son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Crissy Ivey of Gainesville; grandchildren, Ivy and Natalie Barton, Reid, Savana and Jerin Watson and Gage Ivey; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marie and Bill Froeliger of Flowery Branch, Barbara and Gerald Caston of Gainesville, Janie and Carlton Whitlow of Gainesville, and Mary and Ricky Croy of Gillsville; sister, Rosa Boster of Oakwood; brother and sister-in-law, Benny and Susie Cook of Gainesville.
