Mrs. Marilyn Jeanette Lambert, age 60, of Gainesville passed away Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at her residence, following an extended illness.

Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, from the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery. The Rev. Terry Jones will officiate. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lambert was born July 1, 1953, in Athens and retired from Baldor Electric. She was preceded in death by mother, Catherine Smith Youngblood; and brother, Lamar Cheek.
Survivors include husband of 37 years, Bill Lambert of Gainesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Deidra and Chris Pinion of Gainesville and Kelly and Marc Attaway of Flowery Branch; grandchildren, Taylor Pinion and Aaron Attaway; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Kris Youngblood of Hull; brother, Alan Cheek of Athens; sister, Kay Meadow of Ila, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.
