Voyce Irvin Wade, age 86, of Gainesville, Ga., died on April 13, 2014.|
Born in Alto, Ga., son of the late Travis and Emma (Simmons) Wade he had lived most of his life in Gainesville, Ga. Married to the love of his life Betty Brown for 58 years.
Services will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, April 14, 2014, from 5 p.m. till 8 p.m.
He served with the United States Army in Germany during World War II.
Voyce had work as a grocer for 65 years first with Carter's Grocery and later owned P&W Quick Service. He will be most remembered for his years at Green's Grocery where he made hundreds of friends and customers whom he dearly loved.
Voyce is preceded in death by his wife, Betty; and his parents.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Stuart and Becky Wade of Gainesville, Ga.; and his grandson, Will Wade.
