Willie Nell Allison, age 91, of Gainesville, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014, at her residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Wayne Norris will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, from 3-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Allison was born Oct. 4, 1922, in Gainesville, Ga., to the late Alfred Levi Jackson and Sallie Marshall Jackson. She was retired from Walt Cook Poultry Co. and was a member of North Georgia Worship Center. Willie Nell was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Newton J. Andrews; her second husband, Charles Allison; half-brother, Odis Jackson; stepson, Billy Allison; and son-in-law, William Butler.
Mrs. Allison is survived by her daughters, Hazel Butler of Gainesville, Lorene Grogan of Gainesville, and Louise Evans of Lawrenceville; stepchildren, Vivian Stancil, Fern Bennett and Roger Allison; grandchildren, Tammy and Doug Crumley, Gene and Janet Butler, David Evans and Tim and Cathy Evans; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; special niece, Doveen Bowden of Forsyth, Ga.; and special nephew, Roy Andrews of Jackson, Ga.
