Mr. L.G. Mullinax, age 81, of Murrayville, left this earth on Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, and went to be with his Lord where he had longed to go.
He was a member of Emmaus Baptist Church and served his country during The Korean War. L.G. and his wife, Bobbie, were married 61 years. Even though they were married 61 years, he still called Bobbie his "Little Bride." He was preceded in death by his parents, Talmadge and Mable Mullinax; his brother, Bobby Mullinax; his sisters, Henrietta Johnson and Mildred Greer; and his nieces, Sandra Mullinax and Johnnie Nell Johnson.
Mr. Mullinax leaves behind his loving wife, Bobbie Mullinax of Murrayville; daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and David Kendrix. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Talmadge and Shelby Mullinax of Gainesville; brother-in-law, Glenn Conner of Murrayville; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Irene and Edward Anderson of Dahlonega; nephew, Stan Mullinax (Rhonda); niece, Susan Clark (Randy); and other close relatives; and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, from 3-5 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
