Kayla Marie dela Pena, 21, of Gainesville died Monday April 28, 2014, at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston.

A lifelong resident of Gainesville, Kayla was a graduate of Johnson High School, Class of 2013. She was a member of the Gainesville First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her mother, Joan Bancroft, Gainesville; father, Orlando dela Pena, Houston, Texas; maternal grandparents, Dr. Charles and Betty Bancroft, Gainesville; grandmother, Didi dela Pena, Miami, Fla.; uncle and aunt, Charles Victor Bancroft II and Cricket Brancroft, Bishop, Ga.; a number of other relatives and special friends also survive.
Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2014, at Lakewood Baptist Church Ministry Center. Dr. Tom Smiley, the Rev. Don Ormsbee and Blake Orr will officiate. There will be a reception held after the memorial service at Lakewood for a time of Gathering of Family and Friends.
A private family inurnment will be held at the Gainesville First United Methodist Church with Dr. Terry Walton officiating.
