Nathan Styles, age 79, of Gainesville, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2014, at his residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, May 4, 2014, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Dr. Phil DeMore will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 3, 2014, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Styles was born June 6, 1934, in Dawsonville, Ga., to the late James Otis Styles and Cleo Waters Styles. He was born and raised in the Juno Community of Dawsonville and was retired from General Motors. Nathan was a member of First Methodist Church and a member of the Hudson Club, an antique car club.
Mr. Styles is survived by his wife, Rosemary Valentine Styles of Gainesville; daughter, Elizabeth Halatayi of Chesapeake, Va.; grandson, Nathaniel Chase Halatayi of Richmond, Va.; brothers and sisters-in-law, James Robert and Betsy Styles of Decatur, Ga., and William and Jo Styles of Dawsonville; niece, Rachel Styles Brown; and nephews, Rob Styles of Boca Raton, Fla., and Ken Styles of Lawrenceville.
